About Us
Laurelwood is a welcoming residential community in Pace, Florida, where neighbors take pride in keeping the neighborhood attractive, informed, and connected.
The neighborhood is known for its custom-built homes and established character. Rather than rows of cookie-cutter houses, Laurelwood has a more personal feel, with homes that reflect individual care while still contributing to a cohesive, well-kept community.
Laurelwood does not have a formal homeowners association. Instead, the neighborhood relies on annual donations of $90 per home, along with donated labor and materials, to help maintain the common areas and preserve the appearance of the community.
This website exists to help keep neighbors informed, share useful updates, and highlight what makes Laurelwood a great place to live. It reflects the pride residents have in the neighborhood and the shared effort that goes into keeping it beautiful.
Laurelwood is also guided by established Conditions, Covenants, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) that help protect the character of the neighborhood and support the standards that make the community appealing. Together, those existing protections and the ongoing support of residents help preserve the welcoming, well-kept environment that neighbors value.
Volunteers
A small group of neighbors currently helps with the administrative side of Laurelwood's volunteer efforts, including receiving and tracking contributions, coordinating vendors, supporting communications, maintaining the neighborhood website, and helping ensure funds are used responsibly for shared upkeep.
All efforts remain informal and community-driven. These volunteers do not operate as an HOA or governing body. Any authority related to community standards exists equally among property owners as outlined in the Laurelwood Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, and not by virtue of a volunteer role.

Recognition
Laurelwood is what it is today because of neighbors who stepped up and carried the load when there was no formal structure in place.
A special thank you for their long-standing commitment to supporting the administrative needs of the community. Over time, they quietly handled essential responsibilities from coordinating upkeep to managing contributions and keeping things organized behind the scenes.
Their steady involvement helped create the foundation that current volunteers continue to build on. Laurelwood is better because of their effort, consistency, and willingness to serve.

We're looking for a neighbor to help support the community on the coordination and oversight side. This includes communicating with neighbors, organizing community events (garage sales, cleanups, holiday decorating, etc.), and providing an extra layer of transparency by reviewing financial reports and bank statements to ensure funds are being used responsibly. These roles do not hold or manage funds directly. They serve as an independent set of eyes to help maintain trust and clarity.
All efforts remain informal and community-driven. There is no HOA or governing body.
If you're organized, proactive, and care about keeping the neighborhood connected and accountable, we'd value the help.
